Spiritual Blindness 2

We do not criticize people who are physically blind. We don*t envy them and we pity them. They cannot help it. We should try to help them. We can see what they cannot. We can simply close our eyes to understand what they do not see. We can help them to touch something and teach them what it is. Even though they cannot see things they can perceive many things with their touch. Depending upon the cause of their blindness, some of them can receive sight through surgery.

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, HE CANNOT SEE THE KINGDOM OF GOD. 5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

We should feel a similar pity for those that are spiritually blind. We should try to help them. We can remember the things that we did not understand before we were saved that we now understand. There is something that can cure ALL of them. They need to be born again. We need to tell them about the cure. We need to give them the gospel and an opportunity to receive Jesus. Receiving Jesus is the cure.

John 1:12: But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Becoming a child of God and being born again are two definitions of the same work of God. The kingdom of God cannot be seen physically by those who have been born again OR those who have not. Those who have been born again can PERCEIVE the kingdom in other ways than sight. They can perceive it in ways that are unavailable to those who have not been born again.

To be continued.
